Edox is an independent, historic Swiss luxury watchmaker founded in 1884 by Christian Ruefli-Flury. Widely recognised as the "Water Champion" of the watch industry, Edox built its legacy on pioneering water-resistance innovations—such as the patented double O-ring crown seal system introduced in the 1960s. The brand logo, an hourglass, represents the Greek origin of its name, which translates to "measuring time".
